ALFT’s standards endorsed by global industry innovator and Brandix visionary Ashroff Omar.

25th February 2025: ALFT Packaging, Sri Lanka’s pioneer in flexible packaging solutions, welcomed renowned industrialist Ashroff Omar to tour their cutting-edge manufacturing facility recently. He was accompanied by Anam Omar, Director Executive, Phoenix Industries. The visit highlighted ALFT’s commitment to advancing Sri Lanka’s manufacturing capabilities through innovative technology and sustainable practices.

Omar, who has been instrumental in transforming Sri Lanka’s apparel industry over four decades, as the visionary chairman of Brandix, expressed deep admiration for ALFT’s operational philosophy and strategic vision.

As the architect of the world’s first Net-Zero Carbon and LEED Platinum-certified apparel manufacturing facilities—creating over 60,000 jobs across Asia—his expertise in the apparel industry is unparalleled. Omar’s pioneering leadership in sustainable manufacturing practices, and excellent track record of setting global benchmarks makes his endorsement particularly significant for ALFT’s future trajectory.

During his visit, Omar was particularly impressed by ALFT Packaging’s innovative approach and operational excellence. “My first reaction is wow. I have been in various industries – apparel, plastics, aluminium and others – but to see ALFT’s vision and execution, I was blown away. The whole philosophy by which this facility has been set up is amazing.”

Omar particularly emphasized how ALFT Packaging’s approach aligns with Sri Lanka’s need to differentiate in the global market. “We are a small country, and we have to do something beyond anybody else. ALFT has succeeded and delivered,” he noted, praising the company’s innovative approach to manufacturing.

The industry veteran predicted a bright future for ALFT Packaging, citing the company’s comprehensive operational excellence and strong drive for innovation. “I am sure that ALFT will become bigger and bigger as time goes by, not because of anything else, but their vision and drive,” Omar added.

ALFT Packaging’s state-of-the-art facility represents a significant advancement in Sri Lanka’s manufacturing sector, demonstrating the country’s capability to compete at global standards while maintaining sustainable practices.

As a regional frontrunner in flexible packaging solutions, ALFT Packaging continues to set industry benchmarks through its unwavering focus on quality and customer-centric innovation.
