First Capital leads Sri Lanka’s Investment Banking Sector at CA Sri Lanka 60th Anniversary TAGS Awards 2025

First Capital Holdings PLC, a subsidiary of JXG (Janashakthi Group) and a leading investment institution in Sri Lanka, marked a significant achievement at the CA Sri Lanka 60^th Anniversary TAGS Awards 2025 (Transparency, Accountability, Governance and Sustainability), securing multiple accolades, including the Gold Award in the Investment Banking category.

Held recently  at Shangri-La Colombo, the “Diamond Chapter” awards commemorated six decades of excellence in corporate reporting. Organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) in partnership with the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), the TAGS Awards recognise outstanding performance in financial and non-financial reporting.

At the 2025 awards, First Capital Holdings PLC won Gold in the Investment Banking sector. First Capital Treasuries PLC secured Silver in the “Other Financial Institutions not specifically stated in any other category” Sustainability sector, while the First Capital Money Market Fund received Gold in the “Unit Trusts” category. First Capital Holdings PLC received certificates of recognition for both Integrated Reporting and Reporting, while First Capital Treasuries PLC was awarded a certificate of recognition for Integrated Reporting.

These certifications affirm that the Group’s sustainability disclosures meet regulatory and best-practice standards; ESG initiatives are comprehensively documented; reporting processes follow structured, review-based methodologies; and risks, opportunities and long-term strategic priorities are communicated transparently. First Capital continues to display the TAGS Compliance Badge, introduced in 2023, reflecting its sustained commitment to high reporting standards.
