The 15th Sri Lankan Edition of the Textile Series of Exhibitions officially kicked off today at the Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Centre (SLECC), Colombo, with a ceremonial ribbon cutting by Hon. Mr. Sunil Handunneththi – Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development, and Hon. Mr. Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Deputy Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development, who graced the occasion as Chief Guests, underscoring the Government’s continued commitment to strengthening Sri Lanka’s industrial base, advancing value-added manufacturing, and supporting export-led growth.

Present as Special Guests at the ceremony were Mr. Felix A. Fernando – Chairman, Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF); Mr. Yohan Lawrence – Secretary General, JAAF; and Mr. Husni Salieh – Chairman, Fabric Apparel Accessory Manufacturers Association (FAAMA). The ceremony was hosted by Mr. S. S. Sarwar – Group CEO of CEMS-Global USA, who welcomed distinguished guests, exhibitors, industry stakeholders, media representatives, and international delegates to the landmark edition of the exhibition.

Recognized as Sri Lanka’s premier international platform for textile and apparel manufacturing technology, machinery, fabrics, accessories, dyes, chemicals, and sourcing solutions, the Textile Series of Exhibitions has, over the past 15 years, become a vital meeting point connecting Sri Lanka’s globally renowned apparel industry with leading manufacturers and suppliers from around the world – facilitating innovation, investment, and global supply chain collaboration.

The 15th Sri Lankan Edition of the Textile Series of Exhibitions will run through 7th March 2026, and will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, welcoming business and trade visitors upon online registration to explore the latest technologies, products, and sourcing opportunities shaping the future of the Sri Lankan textile and apparel industry.
