Nations Trust Bank strengthens Board of Directors appointing

Nations Trust Bank PLC has announced the appointment of three Independent Non-Executive Directors to its Board, welcoming Mr. Arjuna Kumar Wignaraja, Dr. Roshan Anne Perera, and Ms. Coralie Pietersz as its newest Directors.

Mr. Arjuna Kumar Wignaraja is a seasoned professional with expertise in business strategy, private equity, and governance. He started his career at the Boston Consulting Group and has held numerous leadership roles at Stax, and Cerberus Frontier. Mr. Wignaraja currently serves as a Partner and Director at Good Life X and holds Directorships in several other companies. He holds a BA in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Dr. Roshan Anne Perera has over 30 years of experience in public policy. She is a former director of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka where she served in the Economics, Bank Supervision and Risk Management Departments. She was an Independent Director of Union Bank of Colombo PLC. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Melbourne, and multiple Master’s degrees including from the Harvard Kennedy School.

Ms. Coralie Pietersz also brings over three decades of experience in finance and governance. She has held senior roles in banking and corporate industries, including CFO of Nations Trust Bank PLC and Group CFO of Richard Peiris & Company PLC. Ms. Pietersz also served as an Independent Non- Executive Director of Peoples Leasing & Finance PLC and Seylan Bank PLC and held executive directorships at other leading institutions. She is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University.

The appointment of these industry experts as Independent Non-Executive Directors, further reinforces the Bank’s commitment to strong governance, financial resilience and long-term growth.
