நியூசிலாந்தில் நேற்று மாலை நிலநடுக்கம் ஏற்பட்டது. இந்த நிலநடுக்கம் ரிக்டர் அளவுகோலில் 6.2 ஆக பதிவானது. நியூசிலாந்தின் இன்வெர்கார் நகரில் இருந்து 300 கி.மீ. தொலைவில் உள்ள கடலுக்கு அடியில் 10 கி.மீ. ஆழத்தில் இந்த நிலநடுக்கம் ஏற்பட்டது. நிலநடுக்கத்தால் வீடுகள் குலுங்கியதால் மக்கள் அச்சமடைந்து வீட்டைவிட்டு சாலைகளில் தஞ்சம் அடைந்தனர். இதனால் ஏற்பட்ட சேத விவரங்கள் வெளியாகவில்லை.
